TIMING

Best Time to Visit Darjeeling

The spring (March to May) and fall (September to November) seasons are the ideal times to explore Darjeeling. The rhododendrons are in bloom in the spring, when the temperature is moderate and the scenery is filled with vivid hues. Clear skies in the fall are perfect for taking wide-angle pictures of the Himalayan snowcaps

Although the monsoon season (June to August) brings with it an abundance of vegetation, severe rainfall during this time can make outdoor activities difficult. Although the town has a festive charm, the mist may make it difficult to see the mountains during winter, which lasts from December to February. Select spring for blossoming flowers, autumn for crisp views, and winter for a peaceful, joyous environment. Due to its numerous attractions, Darjeeling is a year-round vacation destination that provides visitors with an unforgettable experience no matter the season.

Monsoon

Temp Range-15°C to 25°C June to September

Darjeeling's monsoon season, which runs from June to September, affords the hills an abundance of vegetation and a charming, foggy atmosphere. That being said, prolonged periods of 300–800 mm of rain might make outdoor activities more difficult. During the monsoon, the temperature ranges from 15 to 25 degrees. Because of the possibility of landslides, even while the rain adds to the beauty of the tea gardens, exercise caution. For those who value the peace and quiet of rainfall against the backdrop of the Himalayas, the monsoon season offers a distinct experience in Darjeeling.
